Oneofthemaincompetitorsforourlady'saffections,astockbroker(KevinAnderson),isplayedascaricature:he'sthebeerswillingfrat-boywhoseideaofafter-sexsensitivityisflippingonthefootballgame.He'skindoffunnyattimes,butthemoviemightbestrongerifhewaswrittenoractedforustolikehimmore,insteadofhavingusmerelyrecognizehimastheflat-out`wrong'guyincomparisontoBroderick'ssensitiveman.ThinkofJohnCandyinSplash,takingacigaretteandbeercantotheracquetballgame;weknowhislifestyleisnottheoneourheroshouldemulate,butwecan'thelpbutbecharmedbythelikeablegoon.Whereasthischaracterismerelyagoon,andprettyunlikableallaround.
